Teligistics & Associated Solutions Build Telecom Optical
Billing Prototype
Dynamic Optical Character Recognition Technology Developed To Audit Carriers
HOUSTON & DALLAS, TX OCTOBER 6/PRNNewswire/ -- Teligistics.com, Inc. of
The Woodlands, Texas and Associated Solutions, Inc. of Dallas, Texas announced
today the development and successful testing results of a joint application
project using high speed dynamic optical character recognition technology used
to audit telecom billing.
David Roberts, President and CEO of Teligistics.com said, "We have been
exploring various options for additional automation for our telecom auditing
processes. Telecom billing is very complex and the maze of different types of
billing platforms had previously made optical character recognition of telecom
billing impractical. Associated Solutions worked very closely with us in making
this project successful and in understanding our very unique business
applications".
"With this technology we can process our clients telecom billings much
faster and with a higher degree of accuracy. This increases our capabilities to
audit and process billing volume exponentially", added Roberts. Tom
Polivka, Vice President of Associated Solutions added, "ASI is delighted
to have been chosen by Teligistics to develop this proprietary solution for
auditing telecom billings. The knowledge and vision demonstrated by Teligistics
has allowed ASI's technologies to be applied thus achieving project
success".
Teligistics.com, Inc. is a leading telecommunications consulting firm that uses
patent-pending technology to reduce client telecom expenses in long distance,
local services, data, and Internet applications. The company uses a proprietary
software named "The Analyzer" to construct RFQ's using one of the
largest tariff rate, discount, and promotional databases in existence for
clients. Additionally, Teligistics.com uses this software application to audit
the monthly billing for clients that is produced by telecom providers and to
perform outsourced telecommunications services.
This partnership was conceived to
create a "best-of-breed" solution that utilizes ASI's SHAREnet
Processing Bureau to generate the electronic records that Teligistics.com
analyzes using their state-of-the-art auditing software. This solution, which
will be marketed and sold to existing Teligistics.com customers and other
Fortune 500 companies, can save firms in excess of 40% on monthly carrier bills
that contain costly errors.
The SHAREnet facility accepts carrier bills each day in electronic or paper
format and passes it to ASI's QUANTUM/2000 software suite, which is designed to
capture huge volumes of images from business documents. Data from bills is
lifted, cleaned, recognized and validated using a sophisticated adaptive
registration process and multiple character recognition engines. Within 24
hours, perfected billing data is returned to Teligistics.com for advanced
auditing and cost analysis. Over the next six months, this joint processing
capability will ramp up to handle thousands of carrier bills each day.
According to Bob Drew, CEO of ASI, "We are excited to work with
Teligistics.com to market the services solution that is a "dream come
true" for companies that spend tens of thousands of dollars each month on
phone services. By quickly and accurately converting paper bills into
electronic format, our SHAREnet facility provides the perfect complement to
Teligistics.com." Mr. Drew further explained, "Our decision to team
with Teligistics.com, the acknowledged leader in telecommunications auditing,
underscores our commitment to seek out markets where our technology can
dramatically lower the cost of business document processing in Fortune 500
companies. Together, our companies have produced an efficient outsource service
that offers customers unparalleled cost savings."
Dave Roberts, President and CEO
of Teligistics.com noted, "At Teligistics.com, we've developed flexible,
accurate auditing technology that places us at the forefront of
telecommunications auditing. Responding to a dramatic increase in requests for
our unique service, I am happy to report that we are improving the speed and
accuracy of our process by leveraging ASI's SHAREnet solution." Mr.
Roberts further added, "Our customers are looking to Teligistics.com to
provide a complete lifecycle for telecommunications auditing that includes
preliminary analysis, predictive cost savings and day-forward monitoring of
carrier bills. Our collaboration with ASI has produced a solution that allows
us to serve greater numbers of customers looking to save 40-50% on their
telecommunications costs."
